as an independent shop not beholding to any of the three-billion-dollar-bike-brands, we aren't forced to work in the same cookie-cutter style business model you might be familiar with. this means the two of us who make up MBW are serious about building the best damn bikes we can to meet folk's adventure needs. this left of center approach also extends to the types and styles of bikes we can build up for folks. we're two mature adults who make our living building up bikes to meet the needs of our fellow adult adventurers. if your local shop doesn't understand how serious you take the time you spend exploring the world on your bike or why friction shifting, mechanical brakes or a comfortable riding position are at the top of your build priorities, then you may want to reach out to see if your riding philosophy jibes with how we run our our business.
